The tower against the sunset. Took me a while to get the tower details to even show, the lighting wouldn’t bulge and it was too dark for the longest time. Then I finally raised the exposure and the sky went bright and the details of the tower finally showed themselves.

On the way back from Odessa to Austin I noticed this “Historical site” marker and decided to do a little bit of exploring. We turned left onto the dirt and gravel road with bushes and trees on both sides and just followed it.  After a couple of dead ends and a couple of muddy dips, we finally ended up in front of this small hill. Honestly, I was just extremely happy we finally took the Jeep off-roading.

Where we stopped it screamed — turn back now, the creepy scene reminded us of the movie “The Hills have Eyes.” A broken oil rig, two beaten up trailers, and pipes and tools scattered all over the ground. Yet me and Jack had to go explore, we parked the car and stepped out to climb the hill. I just wanted some great pictures. So today we have a little bit more.
